The drawing above does have a startled Halloween stare suitable for a collection of Halloween stories! And that got us thinking…what would genuinely be scary and startling for chickens and children?!? Without being comical (Pearl’s choice) or grossly gory (John’s choice).

Rereading that story made me wish to be able to return to those days when we were all together as a reminiscence like All Saints Day which is important because it follows Halloween (or All Hallow’s Eve). As a result, my own desire is to write stories that will include all of my chickens: Gracie and Bessie, Blanche and Pearl, Emily and Amelia but we will see what develops. I will be posting things as they happen right here before anywhere else!
